Beautiful Spy, 2005, - I was inspired to create this digital painting after I watched the 1966 film, Arabesque starring Sophia Loren and Gregory Peck. He played opposite Loren as a professor of hieroglyphics. Peck's character found himself involved with a beautiful woman (Loren) and espionage when he translated a secret message. He was confused by her actions, never knowing whether or not she was on his side or the enemy's. I did not intend to paint Sophia Loren precisely as I saw her in the film or otherwise. Instead, she served as an inspirational image to paint a classic, beautiful and strong woman with a combination of some facial features Sophia possesses.
